Minky fabric is a plush fuzzy material used for blankets or cuddly wear but I have found it works well for collars and especially well for dogs with super sensitive necks. There are several lining options available, IF YOU GET A MINKY LINING ON A MINKY COLLAR IT WILL BE VERY THICK, AND ON ADJUSTABLE COLLARS IT CAN BE HARD TO ADJUST. 

 It can be bulky on smaller necks since it is a thicker plush material.  Please email me if you have any questions on this material.  

For cleaning it can be thrown in a tied pillow case and put in the washer on cold for and air dried.  It cleans up beautifully and looks like new.

The dot minkies are smoother and not as fuzzy or thick as the patterned minky and smooth minky and the color is dyed all the way through whereas the patterned ones and smooth ones are a white base with the color dyed in so some white will show through.

You may also have it embroidered but for embroidery please choose a thicker font as the ones with finer detail can get lost in the fluff.

Each collar is made with an inner core of nylon webbing and cast or welded hardware. My collars are sewn on a commercial sewing machine with heavy duty thread and reinforced at all stress points. Wear and tear will vary depending on the dog and activity level.
